Official site How we check listings

KAYAK is a travel search site at kayak.com. On May 14, 2026, KAYAK announced Ask AI: a chat on the homepage where flight, hotel, and rental-car results update beside the conversation. Search itself is free. You book with KAYAK's partners, not with TravelStack AI. An earlier AI Mode from October 2025 was folded into Ask AI.

KAYAK search, including Ask AI, is free to use. You pay the airline, hotel, or rental company if you book.

Pros

Results are live search results, not a model guessing a fare.
Ask AI sits on the homepage, per KAYAK's May 2026 announcement.

Cons

It compares options. It does not build a full day-by-day city plan.
The booking still happens with a partner, so the final price is on that checkout.
